A Year of Mindful Dreaming

Dreams are a significant part of our lives. As an honest and precise mirror of our inner and social life, they reflect how we relate to ourselves and others. This sacred mirror provides spiritual blessings, visions, and guidance. Even when dreams appear in the form of nightmares they are opportunities for personal and spiritual growth.

Dreams are an expression of our unconscious intelligence. Pointing to imbalances, to pain and problems, but always also to resources, often even to solutions. This problem-solving aspect of dreams may more clearly be appreciated by looking at series of dreams. And this is possible in the year group.

In the Year of Mindful Dreaming you have the opportunity to transform culturally conditioned imbalances such as

  • daily stress
  • burn-out
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • compulsive thinking.

The group provides a safe, respectful and inspiring container for exploring your inner depths. Part of waking up is to realize that you are responsible for your own life, but you are not alone.

About the course

The one year course integrates 25 years of practice in different spiritual traditions with Western forms of therapy and dream work.  As an extra gift some of the creative methods we apply, like dream incubation, increase the possibility to become a lucid dreamer.

A Year of Mindful Dreaming will help you to rest in unconditioned awareness and reconnects you with your resources

  • avoid spiritual bypassing
  • work out unresolved issues
  • befriend and integrate your shadow
  • integrate animus/anima – the female principle in men, the masculine in women
  •  establish a daily mindfulness and dream work practice
  • use dreams to support your relationships
  • increase the capacity we all have to be lucid dreamers

Structure of the course

Workshops
We meet once a month for a Saturday. In these workshops you will experience a growing sense of community in the group. You will be introduced to Mindfulness meditation and different creative methods to dialog with your dreams.

Playful exercises and daily practices

Between the workshops you will receive playful exercises:

  • Daytime practices, designed to help you recognize the dreamlike nature of all existence
  • Morning wake-up practices to support dream recall
  • Nighttime practice, which prepares the ground for dreaming
  • Mindfulness practices that suits your lifestyle

Individual session
In the first month you will receive a personalized dream coaching and learn to link dreams to issues in your daily life.

Conference calls
Once a month you will participate in a  group conference call during which we:

  • continue the work we opened up in the workshops
  • clarify questions that arise in the exercises
  • share our experiences and support each other in our challenges

Dates: 11 Saturdays, 10.00 – 17.00.

28 January, 18 February, 24 March, 21 April, 19 May, 9 June, 25 August,

22 September, 27 October, 17 November, 15 December

Conference call once a month Wednesday evening 20.00 – 21.00.

Fee: 800 kroner each month to be paid in three installments. 650 kroner for students and unemployed.
